PVR350 and XF86 problems

Post subject:  PVR350 and XF86 problems
I have a Shuttle SV25 PC running KNOPPMYTH r4v5.
I'm using a PVR350 model 993, tuner type 1 (PAL-I)
The PC has 800MHz P3, 256Mb Ram, onboard everything else.

To get the PVR350 to work I have installed Chris Kennedy's ivtv-0.2.0-rc3e driver

I can capture video using: cat /dev/video > test.mpg
I can output using the frame buffer:
ivtvfbctrl /dev/fb1 -alpha -on -globalalpha -nolocalalpha
dd if=/dev/video of=/dev/video16 bs=64k

I have copied ivtvdev_fb.o to /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers

However X wont start.
From the log file it appears as if X is trying to use the framebuffer on the Graphics card.
The bus id for the PVR350 is "0.0x0a:0" or "0:10:0" in decimal, I have tried both in the XFConfig-4 file.

Clue from XFree86.0.log

Before installing ivtv-0.2.0-rc3, I had MythTV running using the TV output from the Graphics Card.
The picture quality was poor hence wanting to get the TV output of the PVR350 to work.

I feel i'm very close to getting this to work...
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much, had read that post before but hadn't sunk in!

Replacing the ivtvdev_dev.o driver from http://membres.lycos.fr/badzzzz/ solved the problem.
