Try as I might I could not find a MB in the tier1 list (I wanted to buy it locally as opposed to ordering it). Anyone know if the nForce3 based motherboard will work "out of the box" with R4V5? Interestingly enough on Abit's site it says its a nForce2 chipset, but the box says nForce3 The onboard ethernet is Gigabit, will that cause a problem? It also has 6 channel audio support which I don't need. Will that cause a problem? Also, I purchased a AMD Sempron 2400 (could not find an Athelon chip). Will that work "out of the box" I got a relatively good deal on these things ($50 for both after rebate), but if they won't work I can go to a local computer show this weekend and try to find the hardware on the list. If I need drivers/recompiles can someone give me the commands to do that. (like where to get it, how to get it onto the computer, and then how to compile it) |

MicroCenter has a deal, sign up for their Visa card and get $100 of a MB+Processor combination. The board was about $85 and the Processor about $75... I guess that makes it more like $60 than $50, but still a hell of a deal. They even offer it online www.microcenter.com |
