First post!! yeah! So far i havent had to post anything as the search seems to be finding all i need, im very new to myth tv, and to linux itself, but not new to trying to figure it out on the way, mand learning from that. I recently thought i would build myself a MCE box, and be able to use an xbox as a front end to it, so there i went, bought everything (waste of time and money) and built me a cool MCE2k5 box, had it running and all was happy...... except control., flexibility and features. So researching all i did, i found you guys and this community. I wiped out the hd, and installed knoppmyth... and its working fine, upgreaded the version of ivtv, fixed some network issues, heck i learned how to install mozilla (baby steps, baby steps), and now ive come to my final stumper.... i have searched all over the place for the answer and i hope someone can help me... Remember i said i bought all that MS crap, well one of the pieces i used to control my Digital Cable Terminal (moto 2224) was MS's neat ir transmitter and receiver... it runs off usb, and im wondering if i can somehow us it with mythtv? or am i going to have to make/purchase my own ir trasmiters... i hope this great community can help me out!
