So I have gotten my frontend and backend working, woohoo. Thanks everyone.
Now a question,
I am using the CD to boot my frontend without using the hard drive on the system. When I boot I am unable to use the ATI Remote Wonder.
So thinking it might be broken I add_ati_remote on my backend system to see if it will work on the backend. I reboot and viola it works. It was weird having 2 remotes that both worked, the PVR-250 has a remote as well. So my backend can use the ATI Remote Wonder.
So I tried the CD install again and I could not get the ATI Remote to work again. I have tried 2 different systems as the front end. Neither can get the ATI Remote Wonder to work. If this was a HD install I would just use the add_ati_remote command and then reboot. On a CD install can't do that though.
So my question is can I add a command on boot that will get the remote to work? I did try add_ati_remote at the prompt but it didn't work.
Oh and I am using the KnoppMyth CD on a Epia MII and it works. A bit stuttery but it works. The next project will be to have it load over the network with MiniMyth. Maybe next week or next month I will work on that. Oh and an XBox on the way as the real front end for the system. That will be a few months away I think.
One last question,
Is there a way to automount the back ends music and video when booting from the CD? I know I can mount it once the system is up and running. I would just like a way to have it load on the startup.
Thanks to everyone on this board and the Wiki Project for making my install fairly painless.
