Post subject: | Voodoo 3 tv out issues |
I've searched around the forums but have been unable to find any good information on how to get the tv out on a Voodoo 3 card working. I've tried changing the refresh rates and resolution, and while the boot screen looks fine, as soon as it switched over to X the output had a rainbow effect and the refresh rate looked like it was wrong( this was after a new installation). I ended up getting i2c-2.9.0 and lm_sensors-2.9.0 and building them as modules. I went back and updated my resolutions and then made a script to echo values to the bt869 sensor stuff in /proc/sys/dev/sensors/bt869*/ . I also ran the 'cat' command to read the colorbars file in the bt869 directory( this was suggested by several sites). Now I'm getting a black screen with a few white static lines after the system switches to X. I've done an 'lsmod' and all the sensors are being detected. My system is: ECS K7S5A motherboard AMD XP1800 512mb PC133 40 Gb Western Digital drive Voodoo 3 3000 w/ tv out (BT869) SB Live Value sound card I don' have a tv card in there yet I have my resolution set to 720x480( tried 640x480 and 800x600 ) with a default depth of 16 and the refresh rate is set to Horizontal 30-50 Vertical 60 Does anyone know what may be happening or what I could try? If anyone has the voodoo3 tv out working could you post how you did it. Thanks in advance. |

Have you searched the MythTGV archives? I vaguely remember a few posts about the 3000, but this would have been months if not years ago... |
