Hi ! i've been trying to use mythtv with my "tv @nywhere master" for 10+ hours now !! First of all, i tried to do it on a Mandrake 10.1 Community edition but there was waaaaay to many compilation/library problems. BUT i was able to see video in xawtv (but no sound, only static). Then i tried the last incarnation of KnoppMyth. everything went fine, except that each time i try "Live TV" on the frontend, the backend is crashing ! So i don't even know if my card is working, as it did in Mandrake 10.1 is there someone here with a working tv @nywhere master in KnoppMyth and how to achieve this goal ? |

not sure what the @anywhere is, but if it is like the nvidia cinema cards that do both tv capture and vga on one card I seriously doubt it will work. I have never heard of anyone getting any combo card working. (other than the pvr350, but that's not really a video card) |

no, it's not. It's just a capture card based on the the cx881/cx883 chispet. |

oh well sorry, but I've never heard of anyone having success using the cx driver successfully with mythtv. not sure what the problem is, many people get it working fine with xawtv, but it just will not work with myth, at least that's the last I heard, you can check the mythtv mailing lists, as I don't follow them too closely anymore there may be new developments. |
