Hello everybody,

i am looking for a soundcard for my tv-pc which supports coxial spdif, so i can watch my dvds in real sourround sound.
is it possible with mythtv to watch your dvds in sourroundsound ?
what about the Soundblaster Audigy II ? has anyone get it working under knoppmyth ?

is it hard to get it working ? or should i use a motherboard from asus with sound on board ?

what about recording dvb-t shows in dolby digital ? is it possible ?

:lol: are you looking at my setup LOL

i havent tried the digital outputs yet but it is supported by alsa
and if the asus board uses the unsupported ac97 sound then bob's yer uncle it'll work out of the box
also if you have an analog 5.1 speaker setup then the audio is already put thru cmss and outputs to all the speakers equally
i'll post my alsamixer screenshots shortly as links instead of img's to save a bit of space here :)
