sorry to post another topic but ive forgotten how to setup the remote and i wanted to make sure i do it right so i dont mess it up heres what i was gonna do download the latests lirc.7pre from the site untar that, compile it, run the setup, install it...then after that im not sure what to do, i know i gotta somewhere change something from lirc_i2c to lirc_gpio im just not quite sure where, im sure someone here has this card/remote working, ive had it working in the past, once i get to the point where i get irw working then i can do all the config and button mapping stuff, its getting to that point where i have some trouble. thanks a lot in advance |

the lirc source is already in /usr/src no need to download, just extract it and run the setup script to choose your card do make make install. then you will have to make sure that lirc gets run on boot and that your lirc_gpio module gets loaded. |

allright i found it, untarred it, ran ./configure, picked my card, selected exit and run configure, did make, make install...now im stuck lol i tryed doing irw but i got connection refused thanks |
