Post subject:  R5A12 Moving into an HTPC box?

Hi,

I've managed to convince the trouble and strife (AKA the wife) that we should move my R5A12 Mythbox into an HTPC box. My goal here is really to cut down on the amount of noise and also get rid of my ugly old case...

I'm looking for some advice on how to best accomplish this...

I'm thinking about the Ahanix D6 case which seems to -- would something like this be as silent as a normal set top box? Will I here anything at all a few feet away?

Also the CPU on my chaintech 7NIF2 has a rather loud fan (ThermalTake something). Any reccomendations for a heatsink or am I better off moving to a quieter fan?

I'm also curious to the support of VFD in the current version of myth (R5A12). I don't see much in the forum... is there very much involved in getting that to work?

Also I understand that some of these boxes include an IR receiver (as on option)? I currently use the IR probe that came with my Hauppauge PVR-250. How hard is it to move to another IR receiver? Are the Ahanix ones well supported my the current release of KnoppMyth??
