Hi all.
First I wanna thank all you guys thats doing a really good job to answer all the questions in here. That's really helpfull.
I have some problems with the installation, which I couldn't find solutions to anywhere else. So here goes:
I've installed Konpmyth on an older machine and it appears to be working allright. My machine conf is:
ASUS mb intel bx440 chipset
Intel celeron 600E
484 mb of ram
Creative "all-in-wonder"'ish card based on nVidia FX 5200
40 Gb harddisk
I've autoinstalled Knopmyth, installed the nVidia driveres at suggested in the pampleth and am running backend and frontend on the same machine.
Set uo the mythtv conf.
Problems
1. During startup of knoppix it tells me that it didn't find any multimedia card - is that normal?
2. I've managed to set up the XMLTV for denmark, is seems to retrieve the information allright - is there anyway I can check that?
3. AND MOST IMPORTANT
When I start live tv I get at blank screen but I can hear the Harddisk running. I've switch to the log (alt-tab) and I see the hardisk running an endless loop, that I can't break. Mythtv freezes though I can bring up the (alt+ctrl+F1) and log on as root and shut the machine down.
The input screen is blank in the conf. Does that have anything to do with it?
Please help. I don't really know anything about Linux - I'm a M$ man.
(BTW...how do you get back to knopmyth after pressing alt+ctrl+f1??)
