Post subject: | Reccomended TV-OUT |
Hi, I'm running R5A12 on my Chaintech 7NIF2. I'm a little dissatisfied with the playback quality of the onboard TV-out. What is the current reccomendation for good TV-Out playback? I just have an analog TV and I'd like to get something a but closer to broadcast quality out of my myth box. From what I can tell, the recordings coming out of my PVR-250 are just fine. Adrian |

well most say the pvr350 has best svid output, but it is a royal pain to configure, and won't play divx/xvid videos properly. other than that you're kinda stuck. Some say the fx5200's have better quality than the onboard nforce2, or you could always go with an external vga->svid scan converter. they supposedly do a pretty good job. |

I never really found an answer to this question myself. Using the settings tool that comes with the newer nvidia drivers to tune up the display made some difference, and after some recent experimentation on my workstation machine I strongly suspect that tweaking the gamma setting should make a big difference. |

Make sure you are using bob deinterlace (in playback settings). That makes a big difference. |
