PHILPS 7130 are on sale for just $28, does anybody have any experience with these? For that little cash I could add a couple to my myth box and not miss any shows..

I also read somewhere that it needed a "loop back" for the sound, which seems strange but would that mean I would need a sound card input for each card's audio?

That's a pretty common requirement with some of the older capture cards (typically they use the bttv driver set) that don't include their own mpeg-2 encoder.
