| Post subject: | Move from IRBlaster to serial control |
Hey fellow myth-ers, I had been using an home made ir-blaster very successfully for quite some time. Probably 6-9 months. Everything has been great! I recently had a new receiver installed (RCA D10) and my ir-blaster stopped working. I found some documentation to let me control the box using a low speed serial port found on the box. I purchased a cable to make the connection from the pc to the directv box. A recent reboot of my myth server changed my results. Before the reboot I would at least receive an error message. But now, when I run the script, it just hangs: root@mythtv:~ # /myth/directv.pl 270 Turning on IRD SEND: 0xFA [รบ] 0x82 [] RECV: I never receive anything after the RECV: line. The script attempts to turn on the receiver. I have tested that at least this works, I turn off the receiver and when the script runs, the receiver tuns on. But nothing more. I really don't know what to do to make any tests. My search results haven't been very fruitful, so I am hoping someone can shed some light for me. Do I have some remnants of the ledxmit stuff? Is there something more than just having the script that I need to configure? Thanks in advance! |
