I have been searching on how to get my remote working for a while now, but I haven't been able to get it working. Is there a howto for this remote for version R5A15.1

my tv card is working fine, all i just need to get the remote working

dmesg shows
lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, at major 61
lirc_i2c: chip found @ 0x18 (Hauppauge IR)
lirc_dev: lirc_register_plugin:sample_rate: 10

this is good right?

Did you start lirc?



Then run irw. Press a few buttons and see if you're picking up the signals from the remote. [b]irw[\b] should dump a line or two to the screen for every button you press.

If that works, then you should probably register the lircd daemon.



Then restart mythfrontend and see if it works. If not, you may need to get a proper lircd.conf and lircrc file for use with mythtv... I have a PVR 350, and the grey remote was set to work "out of the box" as it were with Knoppmyth.
