First of all, the persons who can solve this problem.. Is my god for ever ;)

It's for my endwork, it needs to be finished tomorrow, it is a multimedia home center and server. Everything works fine, only the remote, and what is a multimedia center without remote... :cry: :cry:

I have an Medion Remote, but I've read that it works just fine with the lirc_atiusb module.

This guy here: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-30 ... emote.html

Also has it working, and I have the same remote. But I'm stuck :cry: :cry:

How do you compile it as a module? I've added this to my make.conf:

LIRC_OPTS="--with-driver=atiusb"

And then in the kernel options, I set ATI_usb as a module and recompiled it.

Then I've emerged lirc. (Am I still on the right way??)

Then he gives me the lirc.conf file, and onther one, but where do I set these?? And how can I link it to xmms for example? (It is for mythtv actually)

Please someone help me! THANKS!!

The instructions you are following are Gentoo specific. Normally, one would either use the kernel module or LIRC with the ATi remote not both (this is stated in the instructions). If you grab the latest LIRC and following the LIRC instructions, you should be able to get this going. You'll probably want to remove the kernel module from /lib/modules/2.6.11.X-chw-y/kernel/drivers/usb/input/
