Has anyone with a nec 3520a dvdr drive (or similar) been able to successfully burn cd or dvd discs using nuv2disc?

Can't seem to get mine working and am trying to figure out how to fix it without reinstalling.

I've also been trying to burn video DVDs with my nec-3520a. I've been using growisofs and mkisofs and cdrecord-ProDVD all to no avail. I use the -dvd-video flag, but in the end, I only get a DVD-ROM which can be mounted as UDF and the files can be played in xine or so forth, but no DVD player including xine can play it directly.

Any body have any idea what could be causing this?
