I have just installed the latest knoppmyth release and Im trying to follow the instructions on the bitbender forum for installing everything. Im using a PVR500 dual tuner card.
In the instructions, it mentions how to get the ivtv drivers and install them, but this is for an old version (Release 5A12) but I noticed on a forum that the ivtv drivers are already included in knoppmyth, do I still need to load them with this release or are they already loaded.
What do I need to check to see if they are loaded and working..
How do I check the firmware is there and working?
If anyone can point me to a site that will help I will be very grateful!!!

Also on a basic auto install, does knoppmyth have a browser - all I can find is Lynx, and apt-get for firefox cannot find anything to install....

Many thanks...

Martin

the IVTV drivers have been included in knoppmyth for a LONG time I know they were in R3 the issue is are the ones included new enough to support your hardware. knoppmyth has the latest "stable" ivtv drivers, but many people have to go to the "development" drivers to get the pvr 150/500 to work. as far as how to install them it shouldn't have changed much if at all since R5A12.

apt-get install mozilla-firefox

I think

or just install mozilla and you get the whole suite

There is a browser builtin these days... Look under the Infocenter menu.
