Post subject: | Sound and Montior issues |
when i watch live tv i get no sound. but i can play music and i have checked to make sure the volume is up and that its not muted. i also plugged my speakers directly into my ati tv wonder pro card and i get audio. any ideas? Right now i have myth tv hooked up to my good monitor and i would like to hook it up to my older monitor. but when i do i get lines going up and down the monitor when it gets to the myth gui before that the output is fine suggestions? |

Did you set up a loopback from the capture output TV card to the line input of your sound card so it can record it? Did you setup the mixer correctly? Check the mythtv docs, the forums and the wiki for more details. |

this has been covered about a hundred times!!! if you have done the capture and mute thing I'm sorry but you didn't say anything about it. It is covered in the mythtv docs on the wiki the faq all over the forum. |

If you haven't read this you need to. http://www.mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO.html BTW - a Google search should have turned this up in no time flat... |

You didn't read all of it. You need to mute one input and unmute the other. A search of the forum should turn up the details. I'd have to search for them myself and my time is at least as valuable to me as yours is to you, so tag you're it... |
