this is how my /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv looks:
Code:
alias char-major-61 lirc_i2c
alias char-major-81 videodev
options ivtv debug=1
options tuner type=39
# output_select 0==> composite, 1==> svideo [modify for your setup]
options saa7127 enable_output=1 output_select=0
options msp3400 modprobe
add below ivtv msp3400 saa7115 saa7127 tuner
add above ivtv lirc_dev lirc_i2c ivtv-fb [/quote]

have you been mucking with your /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv file? cause all the add lines that cause those errors have been removed on a default install of A16. If you need something in there to get the pvcr350 working you will have to figure out how to do it without using add as that is no longer supported. if you look in that file it should be obvious what I'm talking about no lines can start with add as in add above or add below.

I think the Wiki article is pretty out of date. One of us should perhaps update it. For R5A16, this worked for me no problem, though not sure what you might have to do for a PAL system.

it most likely is out of date, but that's the great thing about a wiki now that you know the differences you can put notes in it to let the next guy know what to do if he is using A16.

I don't really know anything about the pvr350 other than they are a giant headache. I don't have one, and I did try to help a friend set one up, but he wanted to use the video portion, and you can't get smooth mpeg4 playback.

still no go!

i followed conson's advices here: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4117 because he refers to a PAL tv like i have

but i still have no output signal from the 350, neither during boot up nor after starting X...
