I just order my parts for my knoppmyth setup, and I am wondering if the mx4000 will install the drivers automatically, or do I have to configure it for the s-video out to work? I am going to use my TV as my monitor. I am new at this so any help would be appriecated. Thanks

The KnoppMyth install should automatically install the correct drivers for that card. However, you do need to set up your config file appropriately as described in the installation instructions. http://www.mysettopbox.tv/doc.html or http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=KnoppMythInstall. Searching for "XF86Config-4" here or on the wiki will provide more examples and details.

It says
Quote:
You will still need to edit /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 to change the refresh rate or you can destroy your TV.
Where do I go to configure these settings, and what settings are the best?
Thanks

What's your local video standard? If it's NTSC-M (U.S. or Canada) the FX5200 example on the wiki should be close. Searching for the highlighted word on the wiki would turn that up as the the first or second result.
