I installed Knoppmyth, went to "Live TV" and got colourful static from my PVR-150MCE (type 47). I then installed ivtv 0.3.2s (can't remember the precise letter, might have been "h"). It worked last Knoppmyth install, but produced the same problem this time 'round. I then tried installing 0.3.6x (latest version). During the install, it told me something about removing tuner.ko, so I dutifully renamed it tuner.ko.old. I went into "Watch Live TV" and got a blank screen. I get the same thing when running mplayer /dev/video0 from the command line. Thoughts? |

mplayer /dev/video0 gives me: Failed to open /dev/rtc: Permission denied (it should be readable by the user). ... ... Playing /dev/video0 Seek failed |

If your doing this to test that the card is working, try it as root, that worked for me just now... |

Still doesn't work. I don't get the rtc error, but I do get "seek failed." |

Try 0.3.2y. That's the only set that worked for me. |

Do I just download it and install it with no other preparation? Can I leave the various config files as I've edited them to be in the past little while? |
