Running Knoppmyth R5A16 with a PVR-250, the silver remotes works perfectly with lirc-0.7.0. I built another instance of lirc as remote-0.7.0 and configured it to use Actisys 200L on COM1. It built and installed fine as many HOWTOs state. I can call remote_irrecord and the 200L reads my remote codes correctly. However,

remote_irsend SEND_ONCE SA2000 1

does not error, but digital cable box (Sciatlanta Exporer 2100) doesnt respond. In addition, pointing my digital camera at the transmitter shows white blinking, but the blinks are much shorter and much dimmer than my actual remote control.

I also tried the same with remote-0.7.1 created from lirc-0.7.1 with no luck.

I have used this Actisys 200L in windows to blast this receiver, so I know it can. There are no error messages in log files.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance for any suggestions...
