Ok according to the following site http://www.shspvr.com/pvr_model.html there are two different pvr-150 models. One of the cards being a full sized pci card with a Conexant CX23416 chip, and the other a half height MCE card. Which one works the best right out of the box? Having already purchased a HD-3000 (the analog part doesn't work in myth) and a PVR "roslyn" card, I wanna make sure the next purchase is a good one. |

There are actually THREE different models of PVR-150. http://www.hauppauge.com/Pages/prods_pvrs.html
- WinTV-PVR-150MCE (model 1042) - WinTV-PVR-150MCE l.p. (model 1086) Personally I'd go with the first (non-MCE) one. |

Is the model designated somewhere on the board itself? I ask because I'm looking at a few ebay auctions and I want to make sure I'm getting the correct card. This is the problem I had when I purchased the 'roslyn' -doesn't work with anything- card. I just want to be informed to make the right decision. |

Follow the link above to the Hauppage web site and look at the pictures. Pay particular attention to the external connectors which are different between the two models.... Note that the MCE cards have 2 BNC connectors and the regular ones only have one. The regular ones should also come with an IR remote control. |
