I am intending to build a set-top box that will function as a dvr and provide live tv functions (pause, rewind, etc) at the same time.
I would like some input on what I am exploring as hardware options:

Shuttle ST62KS <link>
P4 2.4B Northwood
Hauppauge WinTV PVR 350
512MB RAM
DVD-ROM drive
200GB Hard drive

Questions:
1) The shuttle barebones kit comes with a ATI 9100 built into the mobo. From what I've read about the PVR-350 I don't even need a video card, right? Is the 9100 going to hurt/help the situation?

2) Does anyone have any experience with putting the PVR-350 into a shuttle case? Will it fit?

3) Storage - Is 200GB sufficient?

4) Drive - I am a bit confused: do I need to keep the knoppmyth cd in the cdrom drive the entire time? If not, with a DVD-ROM drive can I also use this set top box as a dvd player?

Thanks in advance.

1) getting the 350 out put set up will take some work so it might be usueful to have at least basic video output to get set up.

2) The 350 isn't really any bigger than the 250 and that fit in my old box (se signature block), although I did have to lift the drive cage to get it in and out.

3) 200Gb is a good start.

4) what he said.
