Post subject: | Kworld XPERT DVB-T PCI - no lock when scan ( newbie ) |
I have a Kworld XPERT DVB-T PCI card which works ok when windows installed on the PC. I am trying to convert to mythtv and have installed knoppmyth RA16. During instalation the card is recognised corectlyl and in mythtv-setup I am able to select the card as a DVB device, however when I get to the channel setup and scan for chanels I never get a lock and therefore no channels are found. Has anyone got this card working in RA16? Any help would be greatly appeciated, I am sold on mythtv as I have seen it in action for others, would just love to get it working for me. Please let me know if you need any additional info to help diagnose the problem. |

You have put a transmitter frequency into the setup, so it has a clue where to start? |

Thanks for that, I have tried that but still not working. I think the problem could be a linux driver problem. I can manage to use TZAP to tune into a channel but using DVBSCAN or scanning in Mythtv does not find any. I have been told that I possioble dont have all the modules I need for this card. If anyone could tell how to tell what modules I have installed and what ones I need for this card that would be great. Thanks again |

Have you tried a - modprobe dvb-bt8xx to see if it's bt8xx compatible hardware? I think most of the cheap DVB-T cards use the same reference design... |

Glad you've got it sorted! I'm pretty sure though that the modprobe should have worked without having to recompile the kernel... ![]() Get that box online! ![]() |

I had to add this line to my /etc/mythtv/modules/bttv file for my Kworld to work. Code: options bttv card=78 radio=1 pll=1 tuner=2 bttv_gpio=1
