this is a realllly old card. for some really old hardware.

when i used this card, i wasnt able to start the backend... whenever i tried i got a cannot connect to xserver error.

i got heaps of help but was never able to get it running... now im thinking it might have been the video card. just casue i saw other websites about this card that mentioned xserver.. tenuous link i know.. but i figured it was something...

so i wondered if anyone can help me to install some working drivers for this card onto that box.. i worried for weeks about this problem and thought if i could finally resolve it.... my life would be better.

im a BIGGEST newby with linux... so if you can help.. sorry but you'll have to be really specific.. a pain i know.. but id appreciate it.

Just a suggestion-I looked through the first page of that thread, but didn't see any specs
for your video card. When starting a new thread, you should really specify your hardware/software.
Most people won't want to sift through 4 pages of posts just to get your configuration. Alternatively,
always include it in your signature like I do. Then it's always available.

So what's your configuration. ?
