I can get the remote to respond in irw, I can get the PVR to capture video (as noted in another thread***), but only once have I gotten Myth to allow me to watch TV. After I rebooted, and every reboot since, I have only been able to watch live tv for half a second to a second tops, it freezes, and then 10 seconds later, the image drops and I'm sent back to the mythtv screen. What might be the problem (or at least, where would I start looking)? Thank you.

Check the mythbackend.log file in /var/log/mythtv there must be an error occurring when you go to live TV. You might find some useful information there. If not when myth frontend loads on the next reboot, exit out of it and bring up a terminal window and run mythfrontend. Then try to watch live tv, you will be able to see the messages that the mythfrontend gives out on the terminal hopefully this will give you some information to help diagnosis the problem.
