I'm living in the Philippines (NTSC) for 6 months and want to build a MythTV box which I'll use and then take back to Hong Kong and eventually the UK (both PAL), are any of the supported TV cards Multi standard?

If not then I won't buy a good (PVR 250 -350 -500) NTSC card I'll wait and get a PAL version, but for the mean time I'll want a relatively trouble free bt848 or bt878 NTSC card that supports btaudio or snd_bt87x in stereo, has anyone got any suggestions?

I think I can get a LeadTek WinFast TV 2000XP (hopefully delux) and I believe it's got a bt878 but I'll see tomorrow.

the winfast will work both PAL and NTSC, but it does not support btaudio.

Thats sad, I can't get ATI Tv Wonder Pro or Hauppauge WinTV 401 / Theater cards out here, are there any other BT878 cards you can think of with stereo btaudio / snd_bt87x support?

the two you mentioned are the only ones I've ever heard of having btaudio support which have varying rates of success, and I believe they are only mono at that.

I don't want to lead you down the wrong path, but I'm fairly certain that my pvr250 does both PAL and NTSC though I've never tried PAL I remember back when I actually had to do anything to set it up reading how to do either. Not sure if the newer ones can still do both or not.

I just got a reply from Hauppauge in Singapore saying none of the PVR cards support both NTSC & PAL which disagrees with the web site.
