Post subject:  Only one channel is ever output!

Using R5A16 with a new Hauppauge PVR250 model 980. I am running on an Athlon 1400 with 512 MB of memory and a 200GB IDE HDD. Video is a 64MB nVidia MX400 - probably the weakest link.

The problem is that when I try to watch TV I only get one channel and it is not very clear. Not only that, but it is a 24/7 religious channel. That channel is also available on my regular TV at channel 118 - I do not even have chanel 118 setup on the MythTV.

I can change channels and the guide ad channel indicator on the screen is correct, but the video and sound never actually change to anything but the same religious programming. I have played with the IVTV settings - to no avail. Please help!

While that may be true - I would hope that God would give me a nice strong, clear signal in lieu of the fuzzy one that I currently have.

Any ideas what may actually be wrong? Should I try re-compiling ivtv?

Searching for PVR 250 980 Should turn up this thread: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2295

As the religious channel might tell you "seek and ye shall find". Here are some good starting points:
http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/search.php
http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/

The first step is to check /var/log/messages after a fresh boot to see if the IVTV driver is recognizing the tuner type on your card. If not a new driver is in order. If it is, make sure that it's not getting overridden by something in /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv Again the details can be found here and on the wiki.
