| Post subject: | AMD Motherboard with Audio and Video built-in??? |
I am looking for a good (but cheap) AMD motherboard that has the Audio, Video, and tv-out built-in. I would also like it to be considered Tier 1 for MythTV. I dont want to have to worry about any special setup to get the Audio and Video working with MythTV (unless it is very simple and there is a post or something explaining the process). A good example would be the Asus A7N8X-VM/400, but I cant seem to find a good price or place to buy it. Both TigerDirect and newEgg quit selling it. Any help would be appreciated! |

I don't really recall seeing many motherboards that had TV-Out other than the Via Epia line. Also, most of them are composite, not S-Video, which everybody says is inferior to composite (not that I could probably tell). Doesn't seem to be a popular feature with m/b manufacturers. I didn't want to be limited to 1GHz so I found a motherboard with S/PDIF out for the sound and chose a video card with tv-out. I finally made the switch to S-Video in my entertainment system so I could use a G-Force FX with VGA, S-Video and DVI out connectors. Takes care of all my future needs, easy to setup and it was only $38 from Newegg. Just a thought... Shawn |

The Chaintech 7NIF2... But I think it has been replaced with a new model. So, you'll have to do some searching. |
