I've just bought an avermedia m179 off of a seller on ebay pretty cheap and am planning to build a knoppmyth system. I've read that this card has problems with it's tv tuner from a google search for info. I then tried searching the forums for a general consensus/hangups that people may have had with this card using knoppmyth but couldn't find anything. Does anyone have any info on how this card performs under knoppmyth? Thanks, Chris |

sometimes you have to play around with ivtv to find the right tuner type, but they should work fine. My brother has a system with two of them in it that is in daily use. It is running R4V5, because he hasn't wanted to mess with it, but the new alpha's should work as well, and maybe even better as they have a newer ivtv. |

Thanks for the response Xsecrets. I did some research on google after I put in my bid, and came up with a few negative points that some people have found about it a few years ago. Nothing really up to date though. Just glad that there are other people using it that are happier with it's performance. |

I use several of these cards you just have to set them to use tuner 2 |
