I'm excited by this project

I live in the Uk and have an old Tivo, it's been reliable and I have been considering upgrading it but then I started looking at mythv, it looks niiiice!

We have 3 xboxes in the house already, so I would like to use these as front ends. Any problems?

Now, for my main question; I'd like to use my SkyTV satellite receiver as the main form of input to the mythtv system, what kind of capture card do I need for this?

It might be nice to have the option of recording terrestrial TV too, do I need another card?

Can a PVR 250 do this?

yes it can..it just captures s-video+sound, or coaxial and writes the output to /dev/video0..
