Let me begin by saying "Yes I have searched the forums for a solution" and still cannot get anything but snow on my PVR-150 (type 1045). I have downloaded and installed the firmware recommended. I have removed conflicting modules. I have checked the settings in mythtv-setup who knows how many times. After all of this all I get is static. I am at a complete dead end and don't have any idea what is the problem. If there are any files or outputs I can post to help PLEASE let me know.
