| Post subject: | Getting a negative after instaled |
After I installed KnoppMyth and boot passed the bios all I get a negative on the screen. Everything is there just the wrong colors. I'm new to linux so i'm not sure if its the video card so I posted here. Anybody else have this problem? The video card is Volari V3 from Chaintech http://www.chaintechusa.com/tw/eng/product_spec.asp?MPSNo=14&PISNo=308 |

This is a relatived new chipset/card to the Linux market. I believe open source drivers exist, but I know nothing about them... |

When I was buying it, I thought it was a nVidia chipset. The card was only $15, so I'm not bothered about replacing it. Whats the cheapest card that I can use? |

You can get an FX5200 for as cheap as $35. Spend a few extra buck to get a fanless one with a DVI output as well as SVideo. If you search for FX5200 you should find several recent threads with more specific recommendations... |
