I've googled and hunted for quite a bit before asking this question but cant find alot of help I'm trying to install a wintv nova-t card with knoppmyth and struggling to get the 'Scan for channels' setup part of the configuration to work. I need to supply a reference frequency to the dialog for the local DVB transmitter (Divis belfast, northern ireland) but cant find this information anywhere. alternatively i could scan for channels using the scan utility in the dvb-utils package but again this requires a transmitter configuration file. I have found references to the transmitter http://www.dtg.org.uk/retailer/tx_ni.html but it only gives channel numbers not frequency Anyone any ideas how i can find or calculate the frequencites based on the above info? |

following up on my own thread.... Ive since found the frequencies for my transmitter/muxs from a friends set top box. However despite tuning in windows (i tested it in another pc) the wintv nova-t refuses to tune with knoppmyth r5a16 i do get signal 'lock' but progress always stays stuck at 5% and it does not seem to scan for channels trying with dvbscan is not much better - it gives timeout fails even with -5 switch I running out of things to try - can anyone offer any suggestions ? |
