I have a VisionPlus DVB-t (Twinhan clone) and am trying to setup the remote. There is an LIRC config file for the remote, but I don't know what to do with it. I have tried the LIRC setup bit, but I don't know which one to pick.

Any ideas? :?

Back up what you have and start playing with options. Replace the LIRCD.config with the config that came with the remote. Once you do that, reboot and type irw and see if it is receiving signals from your remote. Then program the LIRC file to map the keys.

edit: I think the actual filename is lircd.conf

I tried this but it didn't work. I tried running the setup for Lirc, but to no avail.

After a while I felt a bit foolish as in a stupid sort of way the remove works in that I can push buttons on the remote and MythTV responed. I suppose what I am after now it where do I change how MythTV interprits the signals it is getting from my remote.

Where to go now?

From what I have read my remote presses are being converted into key presses, so what I am wanting to know now is how do I know which remote key is being connected to which key. :?

The mappings are usually defined in: /home/mythtv/.mythtv/lircrc
