I'm looking at using KnoppMyth to replace my current PVR and had a few questions about hardware. I plan on building a fairly large machine (Decently Priced AMD and at least 1024 RAM)
Which Video Tuner cards? I'll be using either digital cable or analog cable (Time Warner). I'm looking at storing the files as MPEG4.
I plan to have this machine sitting in my office or basement wired to my network and using another machine(wifi) as the frontend to play recorded video (Not playing live TV) What would work as a good front end machine? I've seen the video at Systm.org and they reccomended a Mac Mini.
Anyone have a setup similar to what I'm looking to do?
