Right now, I want to run a setup with 2 TV cards. What I noticed between the two is that both have some pretty good driver support within Linux. The 9 dollar Leadtek TV2000XP RM uses the BT878A chip, but is older compared to the Leadtek TV2000XP/EXPERT's CX2388X chip. I am running video through an old LCD projector that does 800x600 native. Should I spend the extra dough on the newer chipset and better resolutions or just stick with the older chipset and more money in my pocket? I do have a bunch of SB Live! sound cards laying around and do not mind using 2, or 1 with the onboard sound. What's my best bet right now?

don't know anything about the RM, but you do not want the expert, as it uses a chipset that just recently became supported in mythtv, means headaches.

Driver support's not perfect but my NTSC setup runs 7/24 solid on a old 440BX MB with two cards.
