Hi,
First, scuse my newb. Second, this question relates to an Australian setup, Melbourne to be exact.
I have installed knoppmyth, it appears to see all my hardware (using a via epia mb) including my leadtek winfast 2000xp deluxe rm edition.
All *I* can see, is static. I've tried changing freqid values, but i'm not really sure what that's about.
Can someone either explain in small words, or point to where i can find out, what i can do to actually watch tv?
The NZ setup in the wiki was some help, but it's not Australia ;)

I am a little shaky on some of the info.

Australia - I think you you need a DIRECTDATA souce for program information. I am in US so I used ZAP2IT as a source.

winfast 2000xp deluxe rm - I used below instructions to setup my Winfast 2000XP deluxe (no RM), unsure of diffrence of RM revision. Please post your results with RM.

Systm (Kevin Rose and crew) has a great video on MythTV setup. I suggest checking it out for the tuner card and data source portion. It is much easier than trying to explain in a post. http://revision3.com/systm/

Configuration for WinFast TV2000 Deluxe
Exit MythTV front end
XTerm > TYPE "mythtv-setup"
Capture Card Standard VL4
exit mythtv-setup when complete
from Xterm window or console "pico /etc/modules"

(edited lines)
--------
bttv card=34 tuner=2
tuner type=2
----------

Remote Control for WinFast TV2000 Deluxe

from Xterm window or console
/usr/local/bin/lirc-reconfig.sh

Reconfigure for WinFast reciever

Copy /etc/lirc/leadtek/lircd.conf.RM-0010 to /etc/lircd.conf (Remote keycode definition file)
pico /home/mythtv/.mythtv/lircrc (edit to fit needs the remote button bind definition file)

I plan on creating a WinFast TV2000 Deluxe HOWTO on knoppmythwiki , so any feedback you have is useful.

note that if you need pal then I think the tuner should=5. This is of course just hearsay as I don't know much of anything about pal other than hearsay.
