Would like to build a budget PVR using this hardware from newegg: Hauppauge WINTV-PVR-150 (new one w/Remote) WILL THE REMOTE WORK? ASUS Pundit-R Intel Socket 478 Barebone - Retail (any probs w/ this?) Intel Celeron D 320 Prescott 533MHz FSB 256KB L2 Cache Socket 478 (sufficient?) NEC Black IDE DVD Burner Model ND-3540A - OEM Kingston ValueRAM 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Maxtor DiamondMax 200GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA133 Hard Drive Anyone attempted this hardware

The remote works as does the builtin IR blaster for controlling an external device. I remember some old issues (possibly resolved) with the pundit vs the pundit-r The CPU is fast enough but the Northwood based Celeron will probably run cooler Check that the RAM is tested with the Pundit-R, either at the Kingston or Asus website. Have you looked through the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Hardware Recommendation forums? |
