| Post subject: | Blank Screen (in Myth) |
Im having an issue with mythtv and my card. Primarily that when i go to watch live tv, the screen is blank/black/empty. My card is a compro videomate tv gold. Anyhow the card works with one exception audio only comes out left channel, note ive only had success with tvtime. The error from the terminal i receive, is audio buffer overflow. Last thing i have an audigy 1 as my soundcard. Any help is appreciated. |

Im not sure if this will help any but ive come across two more things, one probaly that causes audio buffer error. 1: I cannot get the sound from the tuner card to be read on the line in port on my audigy. I run the cord line out from tuner to line in on audigy and no sound. I have also turned up all the settings in alsamixer. 2: it seems mythbackend may not be running properly just running the default settings havent made any changes really. #mythbackend 2005-10-02 21:18:07:07.072 New DB Connection, total:1 ( this repeats to a total of 3) and ends up at qserversocket failed to bind or listen to the socket failed to bind port 6542 Last info is under sound in tuner, i changed it from /dev/dsp to ALSA:default still nothing heres the url to the tuner card product http://www.comprousa.com/New/en/product/vmtvm350.html |
