As all of my 1000 other posts say i am slowly acquiring all of the parts that I need for my Myth box. I'm on to DVD roms now!

Is there any model(s) in particular that work really well or work really poorly with MythTV and are capable of burning dual layer in either + or - format?

any ide drive should work fine with knoppmyth. Seems like + is more common.

DVD-ROM or DVD-RW? Did you try checking in the Tier 1 and 2 Hardware Recommendations? That should be the first place you look when you want to know what other people have used successfully and thus recommend...
