Hi all,

I'm trying to get the remote sorted for my currrent build of KnoppMyth. I'm using the R5A22 build.

In the process of getting my Nova-T card to work I used Parkinpant's guide extensively but I hit a wall with setting up the remote. Mostly due to my MythTV box not being connected to the internet (and until the girlfiend is convinced of it's merits) I'm not going to be buying a router and stuff for the concievable future if I want to see Christmas.

Hence needing the remote sorted ASAP!

As stated, I've made use of Parkinpants guide and no internet connection to use, so I want to get hold of Lirc burn it onto a cd. Done that bit. (Had to search a little bit tho' not immidiately available from sourceforge...)
Lirc sorted and on cd.

Question 1: How do I get lirc from the cd in dvd drive to do the 'tar xpvjf lirc-0.7.2.tar.bz2'?

Question 2: Will the red green yellow blue buttons work so at the end of 'Spooks' I can play the interactive mission from Harry! (lol) and get all the other interactive stuff, like different footy matches, or the different tennis games next Wimbledon.

Thanks.

As of r5a22 you don't need to change the version of lirc installed. Scroll down to my post in this thread:

http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6089

And will tell you how to setup the existing copy of lirc.

In answer to your Q1, you need to mount the cdrom drive. I'm not quite sure on the specifics as im not near my box, but normally its just:

mount /cdrom
cd /cdrom
ls

the location may be slightly different, like /mnt/cdrom

as for Q2, I'm not sure, I re-mapped my red/green/blue/yellow buttons to do other things!
