| Post subject: | Changing Nvidia card |
Currently i have a mx440 card in my system and I want to change it to a fx5200 that i have spare. Whats involved with changing the cards over with the new version of knoppmyth, since I understand it now checks and auto installs the nvidia driver on boot up? Would I just remove the driver, shutdown, install the new card and startup again and the driver will reinstall and pickup the new video card? Cheers |

in linux the nvidia driver is a truely unified driver, there is absolutely nothing you have to do to swap from one nvidia card to another the same driver works for all nvidia cards. (with the exception that the newest drivers don't work with the old tnt cards) |
