Hi all. This is my first post to the forum. I am not able to get knoppmyth to finish installing. After copying the files the computer reboots then hangs at: starting probe for adapter ivtv 12c driver #0 My hardware: hauppage PVR 150 shuttle sk43g AMD sempron Can anyone help? Im not sure if I can give any more information. The install Cd I am using I downloaded about a week ago (early nov 2005) |

well the placement of the hang would tend to indicate it doesn't like your pvr card, however that can sometimes be misleading. I would pull the card out and then see if it boots. If it does then it's really not liking something about your card. |

Thankyou for your response. I did as you suggested, removed the card and the computer booted fine. Put the card back in and stalled again at the same place. Can anyone advise what I should do next? Before the "starting probe" line it also says: ivtv: Unreasonably low latency timer, stting to 64(was 32) tuner:chip found at addr 0Xc2 i2cbus ivtv i2c driver #0 ... Please use the tuner=<n> option provided by tv aard core driver (bttv, saa7134, ..) instead, Im not sure where to go from here. Anything I can try or will I be forced to use Media Center or some such thing? Thanks in advance for your time, Raph. |
