I've been using the following thread as a guide, and I got most everything setup: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... wintv+plus Everything works except...the tv tuner. All I get is either static, green screen, or a combo of the two. I had this tuner card in a different PC, and I was able to get it to work except for sound. I used card=10, so I tried changing what that forum says to use card=26 to 10 and also with card=26, and nothing. I've tried changing the tuner= around some... In some other threads I've seen to use tuner=50, and that also doesn't work. So far I have the settings to load these in /etc/modules (the line for bttv now reads "bttv card=10 card=50") and also in /etc/mythtv/modules/bttv. I've tried all sorts of different card= and tuner= but I'm not getting much more than green and static... Also, on another note, I connect the PC to a TV through a S-Video cable. X displays fine, but anything in the console is nearly seizure inducing. I was wondering what/if I can change anything to make the console display at the right refresh rate? |

I was able to get it working correctly with some more tinkering. That post said you should put "options bttv card=26 tuner=39" in /etc/mythtv/modules/bttv but I put that line in /etc/modules.conf and it works fine now. Although my line reads "options card=10 tuner=39" My only other problem right now is getting the TV signal to display in full. Right now it clips the sides in some. I think some tinkering with my XF86Config's will fix that. |

Did the same thing in my /etc/modprobe.conf (fedora core 4) and finally don't have to run my tuner initialization script Code: #!/bin/bash
rmmod bttv rmmod tuner modprobe bttv card=26 tuner=39 anymore. Oddly, the script worked with card=26 and tuner=39, but when I put card 10 in my modprobe, it worked on bootup finally (been running this system since december, and just made every effort not to reboot it... now I don't have to worry as much ![]() |
