Post subject: | PVR-350 Sound works but not with remote |
Has anyone seen this problem before? I have a PVR-350 and have tweaked just about everything I care about to work - expect that I cannot control the volume using the keyboard or remote control. I do get sound and can control the volume using the television's remote. Just in case the information is relevant, here's my output from lspci: Code: 0000:00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corp. 82815 815 Chipset Host Bridge and Memory C

If you're using the PVR-350 for your audio output, do you have it looped through your soundcard properly? If you don't, and are piping it directly into your speakers/audio gear, then you won't be able to use Myth controls to adjust volume. There is a checkbox for using the PVR-350's audio out instead of loop-through in Setup/Playback somewhere... Best, Steve |

The audio out from the pvr-350 is a linelevel out. It can not be controled by mythtv. It is always at 100%. However stevepugh just posted if you loop the audio signal through your line-in on your soundcard mythtv can control the level. This will also allow you to get sould from mplayer or xine. |

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. Looks like I have to go shopping for a cable tomorrow. |
