I had a question for everyone since I obviously don't know anything near what you guys know about computers. I have had a ton of problems with video cards and I'm sick of trying to install drivers for my ATI card and trying to get my GeForce to even work. I was wondering if it was possible to use something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814144303

or this:

Just a simple VGA to s-video and/or composite. Powered by USB and no drivers or cds to install. At least I didnt see anything about them. This would make my life 10 times easier if it was possible to use one or the other. I just wanted to check and see what everyone thought about the idea of this. Also I was planning on just using my mobo's VGA port since I did that before to watch TV without a video card and it worked fine.

Yes, it is possible. You can even find some recommendations if you search the MythTV users mailing list archives at: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/ Some of these supposedly work pretty well, others are supposed to be dreadful. Most are also more expensive than a FX5200 based card with DVI and S-Video outputs, which will not only drive a SDTV now but an HDTV in the future... Given the example XF86Config-4 from http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=XF86ConfigForFX5200HowTo these are pretty easy to get working.
