I'm looking to upgrade my broken Geforce Ti4600 to a Leadtek GeForce 6200 A6200TDH (Newegg) but I've heard that it does have some problems under Linux working with Knoppmyth. Can any confirm or deny reports that this doesn't work under Linux? It looks like a great card with component output and no fan to speak off. Thanks for any input on this issue!

Yes, you very well could be.

The reference platform (Dragon) uses a 6200 based video card, but one from a different maker. Please see the mythic.tv website for full details.

On the other hand we've had a number of people struggle with other 6200 based cards. I'm not sure if this is because of card issues, driver issues, or clueless user issues. You'll have to decide if you're comfortable enough with configuring and troubleshooting X to get it working on unproven hardware.

Hmmm... well I'd consider myself an experienced novice in terms of setting up new devices on Linux. Can you recommend a video card (AGP) that has component output and works well with Myth (particularly Knoppmyth)?
