Pardon my severe ignorance here, but If I purchase a PVR-350 will all operations of MythTV be routed out through the svideo out or only television features? I assume there is a configuration area to choose which output method is used, svideo on the PVR-350 or graphics card? Thanks.

everything will show on the pvr350, but don't go assuming too much you know what they say about that. setting up the tvout of a 350 is no where near as simple as a config option.

Once you get the video out set up on the pvr-350 all of mythtv's (and xfree86's) features are accessible through the s-video port. But Linux text consoles are not supported. So trouble shooting a failing bootup sequence is impossible without reconnecting a monitor or logging in from another computer. Like Xsecrets said configuring the pvr-350's output is not simple. It involves editing several configuration files.

Hope you don't mind my jumping in here. I used SnapperDragon's information to get my 350 working. It's not perfect becasue I haven't taken the time to tweak everything to do it justice, but it works quite well. I'd like to go through it again and try a "from scratch" install and run.
